This is by its design: with a wider hip area and a narrower should region. This feature allows the sleeping bag to rate to a comfort level as low as 0 deg.C and a minimum rating of -6 deg.C.
Filled with Sea to Summit's unique Thermolite HL-1 insulation, the Venture is lightweight, constructed with a 3D crimp of hollow-core and solid fibres. This insulation design is also thermal efficient - the internal Air Sprung Cells force the wave-shaped insulation to retain body heat and keep the cold air out. While manufactured from nylon, these insulation fibres are lightweight and easily compressible to ensure that a small pack size is possible for the avid hiker.
