    Woman's Hungarian Folk Costume Set
    from Kalotasz, Transylvania (Calata, Romania)
    Here is a lovely woman's Hungarian folk costume set from Kalotasz, a region in Transylvania, today part of Romania (Calata). It includes a vest, skirt, and apron, all made of matching purple brocade fabric. The vest is embroidered in black floral motifs with accents of white beads and silver sequins. The apron is embroidered to match, and is straight-pleated. The skirt is pleated in a wonderfully complex diamond pattern. Note that the skirt ties in front and a gap could be left to accommodate a larger waist, as the apron will cover the front. All pieces in excellent condition, no stains, holes or tears.
    Measurements:
    Vest: chest 19 1/2" across, waist 18" across, length 16" from shoulder
    Apron: waist 13" across, length 33"
    Skirt: waist 18 1/2" across, length 33"
